Frequently Asked Questions ABOUT BOOK PUBLISHING SERVICES

Does my book need to be finished to get started?

No. We’ll create a custom plan to meet you where you are. We provide all levels of support from producing a book from a finished manuscript to ghostwriting.

How long before I see my book?

It's usually a three to nine month process, depending where you are starting.

How much does it cost?

The total cost of the project depends on a variety of factors: whether or not you already have an existing manuscript, the level of editing necessary, the length of the book post editing, the marketing package, and packaging elements such as trim size, interior design work required, and binding. Our professional publishing packages start at $15,000.

What services do you provide for my book once it's written and edited?

In addition to full writing and editorial services, we also design, produce, market, and professionally publish your book. We have a network of talented professionals who can help with every aspect. Every author gets a bookstore for their website, and the ability to order and sell their books at events.

Do I have all the rights to my book?

Yes, if you plan to use the book for promotional purposes or if you wish to self-publish or partner with another publisher.

However, we are a hybrid publisher and if your book is selected in one of our niche publishing programs, we provide the same level of service as any professional publisher. We maintain publishing rights so that we can maximize sales with foreign, audio, and other subsidiary rights. See the IBPA’s Hybrid Publishing Standards.

Does it matter where I'm located?

Nope. We work with people all over the world. The U.K. Australia. California. New York. Canada.

Can you work with multiple-author projects?

Yes, we can. However, we recommend a maximum of four authors for one book, unless it is a contributed book. In that case, we need one person to act as the editor.

Do you work with organizations?

Yes, we are happy to work with either non-profit or for profit organizations and companies. If you are considering a book such as a company history or anthology, please contact us. Often companies, collectives, or nonprofits decide to write a book together for an audience of investors or funders.
